What vaccinations do you require?
We do not offer a travel clinic. We feel that our nurse clinic time should be used for NHS patients who may be suffering from illness or injury for which we are receiving a higher demand.
If you are thinking of travelling overseas you will always need allow a minimum of 6 weeks to complete some vaccination courses, so do plan ahead.
Not all of the vaccinations you may need will be available on the NHS. If you require private vaccinations (non NHS vaccinations) then there are many private travel clinics for you to choose from, your nearest travel clinic is MASTA located at Gatwick Airport Travel Clinic, they have a Vaccine Checker which is useful to help you determine what you require. Alternatively you may wish to try one of the below links from Fit For Travel to see what is recommended for the country you are thinking of travelling to.
The following travel vaccinations are usually available on the NHS:
These vaccines are available because they protect against diseases thought to represent the greatest risk to public health if they were brought into the country.
How to book for an NHS Vaccination
If you have received travel information and have been advised that you require one of the NHS vaccinations, please call our Patient Services Team. We will take some details from you in relation to what is required and this information will be passed to one of our nurses. It is important that the nurse is able to check your vaccination history and then someone will contact you to advise you on whether you need an appointment. Please note that the nurse can only advise you on vaccinations available on the NHS. Any other travel advice (including advice on Malaria) must be obtained through a private travel clinic prior to contacting the surgery.
