How Do I... Make An Appointment?
There are two types of appointment, which are:
- A face-to-face consultation at the surgery with a doctor, or
- A telephone consultation, whereby a doctor will ring you.
We offer a 24-hour access appointment system, which means we are able to offer you a doctors appointment within 24 hours of your request. Consultations are by appointment only and can be made by telephone or in
person at the surgery during surgery opening hours. When you speak to our reception team you will be asked if you would prefer a surgery consultation or a telephone consultation. Appointments are allocated to the
earliest available doctor. However, should you wish to see a specific doctor please ask the receptionist. If you need to pre-book an appointment for transport reasons please let reception know and we will do our
best to accommodate you. We also reserve a few early/late slots for commuters, which can be booked in advance.
Urgent Appointments
Please do not ask for an urgent appointment unless it is really necessary.
If for any reason you are unable to attend please cancel your appointment so that it can be made available to others.
How Do I... Obtain A Home Visit?
If you are too ill to attend the surgery, please telephone the surgery as early in the day as you can, before 10.30am if possible. The receptionist will ask you to provide some details about the nature of your call and the doctor may contact you for an assessment before visiting.
How Do I.... Register With The Practice?
You may register as a patient by calling at our reception where you will be asked for proof of residency and to complete a new patient questionnaire. You will also be offered the opportunity to receive a health
check with one of our practice nurses or healthcare assistants.
